Made in France prior to 1891 this stanhope item is one of the earliest turned ivory miniature monoculars. Measuring 5/8 inch long and 3/8 inch diameter its stanhope lens shows an image of seven famous historical Americans.
Title: DEFENSEURS DE L'AME
With seven portraits including George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses Grant.
Dagron's name is visible beneath the title.
