This nice little pin is made of satinspar, a type of feldspar that was once mined in the Niagara falls area. This beautiful stone has a stunning "tigereye" appearance. It was an early souvenir from Niagara Falls. There are many other types of these feldspar souvenirs but this is one of the least common. It measures only about 1" across but draws a lot of attention when worn.
The stanhope image is perfectly clear and shows 7 views of the Niagara Falls area.
