A souvenir of Chartres, France, this wonderful carved and turned bone dip pen / letter opener has a crest of Chartres pinned to the blade on the eraser end and marked "Chartres" in script. A stanhope lens is housed in the handle showing 4 different pictures of attractions in Chartres with perfect clarity. Below the lens, the handle is intricately carved with a symmetrical hole design. This dip pen is complete and in excellent condition.
