Description

This ashtray is a difficult piece to find and a great stanhope treasure for any collector. It's made of Rhodesian Teak and Vegetable ivory also known as Tague and Coquilla Nut. It was made by JW Soper of Victoria Falls, Africa and has an interesting label that covers the entire bottom of the ashtray. The label is actually an advertisement for JW Soper who was an exporter of the Vegetable ivory nuts and items made from them like buttons, trinkets, jewelry and other objects. The stanhope shoes a single image of Victoria Falls and has the title "MADE AT VICTORIA FALLS"
