Bone Whistle Stanhope with rare Single Image of Prospect Point Niagara Falls

A very nice turned bone stanhope whistle is an early Niagara Falls souvenir. This late 19th century antique stanhope depicts Prospect Point at Niagara Falls. Jean Scott explains in her book that there is only one known single image of Niagara falls as typically they are multi-image stanhopes. This is not exactly true as we have at least 2 different items that show a single image of the Falls. Bone whistle stanhopes are not a common find but the single image makes it truly a rare and unusual piece. This whistle is in very nice condition, it's only malady being a hairline crack along the side. The crack is not open and probably hasn't gone entirely through the piece. the stanhope is also in very nice original condition and easy to see and read with no bubbling or crackling. The hand printed title reads "PROSPECT POINT NIAGARA". It is not marked "Made in France" as it was either a rare early US made stanhope of it predates the requirement. This lovely whistle is surely a great artifact for any stanhope, whistle or Niagara Falls collector.
