Vintage Carved Bone Figural Fish Needle Case with Sicilian Stanhope Viewer

This carved bone figural fish stanhope needle case has little red beady painted eyes. The lid or closure of this fish needle case has a figural fishing bob that unscrews from its intricately carved fish teeth. This figural fish also has very fine and precisely carved details of the scales, eyes and tail. The stanhope needle case measures 3 7/16" long and 5/8 " wide. This fish needle case shows fine patina and is in good shape. The viewer located in the figural bobber shows the arches, columns and fountain at Monreale, Sicily.
