This Vintage Charm of the capitol building in Washington D.C. is made of sterling silver. The charm weighs 1.8 grams and is a little under 3/4 inch tall. It has a patent number stamped on the bottom and is in incredible condition and has exquisitely detailed design. This charm can be worn on a charm bracelet or as a pendant. When looking for the stanhope one will find it where the front doors to this building would be. When you peer inside you will find a clear crisp picture of Walter Lampl. Walter Lampl a very famous jeweler born in New York City in 1895 who was know world wide for his attention to detail and fine craftsmanship. These traits earned him sole authorization by the New York Fair Corporation to sculpt and manufacture perisphere charms with views of the Democracy or "City of Tomorrow". He also developed the first souvenirs for The World's Fair in 1939. Shortly after this he patented his first moving picture charms. The first one had 25 views that moved. He was a remarkable charm craftsman and is the perfect person for inside this 1940's Capitol, as he was making history at this time. This vintage charm is of the capitol building in Washington D.C.. It is made of sterling silver and is hollow. The charm weighs 1.8 grams and is a little under 3/4" tall. It has it's patent number stamped on the bottom. A jump ring can be found at the top of the capitol. This charm pendant is in superb condition and has an exquisitely details. Charm can be worn on a charm bracelet or as a pendant on a necklace. The stanhope is located in the front doors to this building. The view is titled WALTER LAMPL at the bottom. It is a photo of Walter Lampl as a young man.
