Early Stanhope Mechanical Propelling Pencil

This early mechanical or propelling little pencil measures 2". It is nickel-plated brass and fully functional. The Stanhope is contained in a tube near the top and shows a portrait type picture of Abraham Lincoln. Both the pencil and the picture show some wear and tear though condition is still very good.
