This 1933 Chicago World's Fair Souvenir pipe is comprised of natural birch wood, brass, and what appears to be either bone or ivory. The bowl is mounted with a brass surround at the top and bottom. The stanhope is found neatly nestled on the underside of the bowl in a brass 'nub'. the natural birch stem protrudes out of the bowl at an interesting angle and is also adorned with brass. The (possibly not original) bone or ivory stem shows typical surface cracking that is commonly founs in this natural material. It has been used whereas the bowl seems to be unsmoked. The pipe is quite charming exactly as it is. Image Description: This is a 1933 Chicago World's Fair Stanhope showing a replica of 'Fort Dearborn'. It is titled "REPLICA OF OLD FORT DEARBORN / CENTURY OF PROGRESS WORLD'S FAIR 1933 / CHICAGO" & also "MADE IN FRANCE".
