This nice wooden thimble case is about 2" x 1 1/4" round. It is hand carved into the shape of a walnut hanging on a branch. It is in excellent condition and opens in two parts to reveal the thimble inside. There is a peg mounted on the inside of the top half to hold the thimble. The Stanhope shows a clear picture of a Pagoda titled "Chinese Golden Temple/On the Expo Grounds/World's Fair Chicago 1933". It is also marked made in France. There is a small scratch at the bottom left corner of the image, but it does not detract.
