Carved Bone Souvenir Stanhope Fork & Spoon Set

This is a beautiful & delicate stanhope fork & spoon set that is a seldom found antique souvenir from Ste. Anne de Beaupre. A colorful flower motif that is either painted or an appliqué adorns the back of the spoon handle. most of the design is worn away on the fork. The top side of the spoon handle bears the hand-painted script "Sir (Souvenir) de Ste. Anne de Beaupre". The fork has no inscription on the front and what looks like the scarce remains of the flower motif on the handle back. It houses the stanhope depicting a clear picture of the Basilica and is titled "Ste. Anne de Beaupre'/La Nouvelle Basilique/The New Basilica." Aside from the loss of floral design, which does not detract, overall condition is near perfect. Both utensils measure 4 1/8" in length.
